You Come Through (Playback, 1995)

Baby, baby
I don't understand
I hope you never take a swing across town
That would leave me stranded
Oh, little honey pie
There's a lot of people lonely
I've had a few of them scratchin' my back
Wantin' to control me
They say only fools believe
Anything is guaranteed
But when I need you
Baby you come through
When I need you
Baby you come through

Oh baby
Nothin' will console me
I could use somebody scratchin' my back
How high will you hold me?
I could never quite believe
Anything is guaranteed
But when I need you
Baby you come through
When I need you
Baby you come through

Hey

Hear me knockin' on your door
Oh what's the matter baby
I guess that's what friends are for

Baby, baby
I'm about to lose it
Little girl it isn't easy
Can you get me through it
They say only fools believe
Anything is guaranteed
But when I need you
Baby you come through
When I need you
Baby you come through
When I need you
Baby you come through
When I need you

Free Fallin' (Full Moon Fever, 1989)

She's a good girl, loves her mama
Loves Jesus and America too
She's a good girl, crazy 'bout Elvis
Loves horses and her boyfriend too

It's a long day livin' in Reseda
There's a freeway runnin' through the yard
And I'm a bad boy, 'cause I don't even miss her
I'm a bad boy for breakin' her heart

And I'm free, I'm free fallin'

All the vampires walkin' through the valley
Move west down Ventura Blvd.
And all the bad boys are standing in the shadows
All the good girls are home with broken hearts

I wanna glide down over Mulholland
I wanna write her name in the sky
I wanna free fall out into nothin'
Gonna leave this world for awhile

I Won't Back Down (Full Moon Fever, 1989)

Well I won't back down, no I won't back down
You could stand me up at the gates of hell
But I won't back down

Gonna stand my ground, won't be turned around
And I'll keep this world from draggin' me down
Gonna stand my ground and I won't back down

Hey baby, there ain't no easy way out
Hey I will stand my ground
And I won't back down

Well I know what's right, I got just one life
In a world that keeps on pushin' me around
But I'll stand my ground and I won't back down

Hey baby there ain't no easy way out
Hey I will stand my ground
And I won't back down
No, I won't back down

A Face in the Crowd (Full Moon Fever, 1989)

Before all of this ever went down
In another place, another town,
You were just a face in the crowd
Out in the street, walking around
A face in the crowd

Out of a dream, out of the sky
Into my heart, into my life
And you were just a face in the crowd
Out in the street, thinking out loud
A face in the crowd

The Apartment Song (Full Moon Fever, 1989)

I used to live in a two-room apartment
Neighbors knockin' on my wall
Times were hard, I don't wanna knock it
I don't miss it much at all

Oh yeah I'm alright I just feel a
Little lonely tonight
I'm okay, most of the time
I just feel a little lonely tonight

I used to need your love so badly
Then I came to live with it
Lately I get a faraway feeling
And the whole thing starts again

Waiting for Tonight (Playback, 1995)

I'm walking down the boulevard
Passed the skateboards and beggars
I's out looking in the windows
Just out walking and let my mind roll

If you hung around to much, you might take for granted it
But I was away she seemed like angel
The only one who really cared about me
The only one without an angle

For so long I've been lonely
Now I'm to weak to fight
I'm been waiting for tonight
I'm been waiting for tonight

Yes, I had a little time to kill
Yes, I crossed the parking lot
And I was feeling lucky
Just to have a place to go

Yeah, my nerves was feeling a shock
For so long I have been weary
Now there was no end in sight
I'm been waiting for tonight
I'm been waiting for tonight

Oh, like been waiting
For a night like this
Yeah, I felt it coming now
Since her first kiss

Yeah, I'm wrestinng with my overcoat
Yeah, I'm fighting with my thoughts
Yeah, I'm gonna trust my intuition

I'm gonna hope I don't get lost
For so long I've been lonely
Now I'm to weak to fight
I'm been waiting for tonight
I'm been waiting for tonight
I'm been waiting for tonight

Travelin' (Playback, 1995)

No Ive got a travelin fever, baby, got a travelin jones
No dont look for me in the mornin, baby, Im gonna be travelin on

To the next or maybe better

Oh Ive got a travelin fever, baby, got a travelin jones

Gonna be travelin, gonna be travelin on

Travelin on, travelin on
Travelin on, travelin on

Well Im travelin, travelin baby, travelin on
Yeah its good to see you but I cant stay long
Yeah I got a travelin fever, baby, a travelin jones
Well dont look for me in the mornin, baby, Im gonna be travelin
Gonna be travelin, gonna be travelin on

Cool Dry Place (Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3, 1990)

Well I woke up this morning
The place was such a wreck
I couldn't reach the bathroom
Thought I'd better clear the deck
I tried to call the lawyer
And ask him what to do
He referred me to his doctor
Who referred me back to you
And when you checked the manual
You kept inside the case
It said 'put it in a cool dry place'

I drove around the city
Looking for a room
That was high above the water
Where my things could be in tune
There was no one to help me
Nobody even cared
I had to got through hell
To get those things up there
I paid my first subscription
Then I joined the idle race
And they said 'store it in a cool dry place'

I got guitar, basses, amplifiers and drums
Accordions and mandolins and things that sometimes hum
Cymbals and harmonicas, capos by the score
And lots of things in boxes laying all around the floor

Some places they get mildew
And others get too hot
Some places are so damp that
Everything you got just rots
All kinds of condensation
Directories of the rain
There's not much compensation
When everything's been stained
Some have sentimental value that
Cannot be erased
Go store it in a cool dry place

We got solids and acoustics
And some from plywood board
And some are trimmed in leather
And some are made with gourds
There's organs and trombones
And reverbs we can use
Lots of DX-7s
And old athletic shoes
I bought a great big building
It took up one whole block
I made an inventory
Of all the things in stock
The place was getting longer
I was up all night
I used up all my pencils
But I went onto spite
The blury of my vision
The sweat upon my face
I've got to put this stuff away
I mustn't leave a trace

The landlord's breathing down my neck
He say's it's a disgrace
So I said 'put it in a cool, dry, place.'

Down the Line (Free Fallin (single), 1989)

She met this guy
She thought was kinda goodlooking
Yes, she met this guy
She thought he was funny sometimes

He's momma and daddy had a little money tucked away
There was something about
To come down the line
To come down the line

He had a job that you couldn't call a working
She had Cuban boyfriend out of town
She do anything in the world not to hurt him
Oh, on down the line
Imagine that
Oh, on down the line

Well, the old man caught her
He moved out last summer
Yeah, she was down for awhile,
But she came around with time

She met a guy at work
She thought was kinda goodlooking
On down the line
Down the line
Down the line

Right down the line
Oh, on down the line
Oh, on down the line
Oh, on down the line
